Supporting Research
There is little doubt, if any, that medical research has played an important role in the execeptional advancements within Australia for the acute treatment of a burn injury. The Peter Hughes Burn Foundation will do whatever possible to continue such research, with a strong interest in research directly relating to the long term physical and psychological rehabilitation of the burn survivor and the emotional well being of their family unit.
The Peter Hughes Burn Foundation is embarking on a research study to gather information on the different types of support available to burn survivors and their families, as well as what additional areas of supportive treatment would be beneficial in aiding recovery from a burn trauma. To assist in this study, we are asking burn survivors to complete an online survey that forms part of this website. No individually identifiable information is captured as part of this survey, so your anonymity is assured.

We are also supporting research on the effectiveness of burn survivors wearing pressure garments as a part of their prescribed treatment.
